James H. Snyder, Jr., Trial Attorney I handle the most difficult family law cases.  If you have a "difficult" spouse or ex-spouse and they believe you won't stand up for your rights...CALL ME.    Your case is important and who you hire to handle your divorce is going to make a huge difference in your life from this point forward.    I love handling simple uncontested divorces because I have the ability to make certain that all the issues that need to be addressed are handled correctly.  But, uncontested cases are a small part of my practice....because so many simple divorces don't get the attention they deserve initially I am often hired to resolve post-divorce issues.  These are the most difficult cases...ones where the parties are already divorced but did not properly provide for their children or themselves.    I graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1987.  Upon graduation I clerked for the Honorable Joe D. Duncan, Presiding Judge of the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals until his retirement on September 1, 1990.   On September 1, 1990, I joined the District Attorney General’s Office for the Fifth Judicial District (Blount County, Tennessee) until I went into private practice on September 1, 1996.    I now focus on primarily helping people who need assistance with family matters: Divorces (either contested and uncontested), Post-divorce matters (such as child custody and child support), Orders of Protection, Adoptions (including step-parent, agreed and contested hearings).    Because of my previous experience as a prosecutor and working for the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, I am still hired to handle criminal matters such as DUI's, Felonies, Misdemeanors, Sex Crimes, and etc.
