A very selfish lawyer and incompetent staff answering the phones. I hired this lawyer last year to represent for a divorce proceedings and child custody. My 3 year old daughter who has a medical condition has been in and out of Vanderbilt children hospital the past few years for surgeries 5 total maj...or surgeries. I received a call in November from the lawyers office wanting to know if I wanted to proceed with the divorce. I told them yes and that I would be contacting there office after the first of the year because my daughter was having some medical problems right now and if they couldn’t hold off to refund my money. Well I called them in feb or March and spoke with apparently there incompetent staff and reported that my daughter was still having some medical issues and that I would be in as soon as possible. I went to see them today to proceed with the case and they told me that they shredded my paper work all but the one with the fine print that says if I’m 1 year you don’t proceed then the attorney has the right to pocket your money for not doing anything. I asked him if he felt good about himself and he said I sure do. I asked him how do you sleep at night and he said just fine with that attitude. My Attitude? My daughter was sick so Mr Lawson you keep the money apparently you need it more then I do we’re your going. This attorney is a selfish money grabber with an incompetent staff. Do you think they told me if I wasn’t in by the deadline of 1 year I would loose my money?
