I hired Ms Byrd because I understood that she was knowledgeable in a particular subject pertaining to international laws. She was supposed to help me through a divorce and settlement case, and while I cannot go into the details of how she failed to accomplish this, I can say that I walked away from t...he situation feeling that she never had my interests in mind. Her legal fees after nearly a month of work were so high I was unable to pay them upfront after she sent me my first invoice. To add insult to this situation, she then became aggressive, and threatened me legally when I asked to be put on a payment plan. When going through a divorce, choose someone who will work with you and for you, not someone who is looking to rack up extremely high financial fees in a subject they actually know nothing about. She should also have let me know when my retainer ran out so quickly and informed me before adding another $15,000 to the bill. Truly it was an awful experience and this should be seen by anyone considering hiring Rebecca Byrd.
