An excellent attorney who really cares about her clientele. She worked very diligently to help secure my rights as a father in a custody case. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone who is in need of a knowledgeable attorney that is willing to go the extra mile for her client. She is upfront and does not sugar coat things. I appreciate her straightforwardness.

A lawyer that cares about her clients
My husband and I separated back in April. We were sharing our kids and one day he decided he did not need to bring them back to me. This is when I hired Rachel. I thought the world came to an end and she took charge. By that afternoon I had a police escort and I retrieved my kids. Since I hired her back in May we have had to go to court 3 times. Each time Rachel won our case. Now I am divorce from my husband and have full custody of my kids thanks to Rachel.

excellent service.
Rachel was very honest. She didn't sugar coat our chances. She kept us up to date on all parts of our case. She was able to answer all of our questions. And had cast knowledge of the laws that pertained to our case.

Could Not Have Been Better!
Rachel was very involved with my case from the beginning and we had successful results. Rachel takes your case personally and does not treat you like you are just another client. She met with me as many times as I needed to meet even if it was to just explain things to me that I did not understand. She will go above and beyond for you!

Great Hard working Lawyer
Ms. Powell has been a great lawyer. She takes the time to listen to her clients and does anything she can to provide you with all information involving your case. We hired her for a land dispute and now for a Easment for a blocked road. She also has an awesome staff they all work very hard. I would and have recommended her to my family and friends.

Hands down the best attorney!
Mrs. Rachel Powell was my attorney in a child custody case that I was involved with a few months back and she was amazing. I live in Texas while my daughter's father lives in Alabama. I hired Rachel over the phone and she seriously kept me so comfortable in dealing with the case throughout the entire process. She worked hard and fast and always kept me informed of everything going on with the case. When I came to Alabama for trial, she showed true hospitality and support through the entire hearing. We ended up winning the case and I couldn't be more thankful for everything she did for me. I would definitely recommend hiring her!

DON'T HIRE RACHEL MACON (POWELL)
DON'T HIRE RACHEL! She did not prepare for my case in any way. She cut and pasted an email I sent to her with private client comments addressed to her along with questions I wanted her to ask the opposing party, and submitted it to the court. She failed to review the evidence provided by either side. She did not know the facts of the case. She lost evidence provided to her. I provided documents/evidence to her multiple times and she still showed up to court without the evidence needed to win the case. Rachel had absolutely NO STRATEGY to win the case or to present the case in court. Even up to the day of the hearing, It was clear to me Rachel did not comprehend or even have any idea of why she was hired, the nature of the case, how to present her case, what was at stake for her client, or the evidence produced. I won a judgement 5 years ago which resulted in a $31,000.00 payment due to me for back child support that the Alabama Department of Human Resources had put a hold on the opposing party's bank account to be transferred to my bank account. The only thing Rachel had to say for 9 months was the Judge would never set aside his own ruling 5 years later. Guess what folks, the Judge set aside his own ruling 5 years later. Rachel lost a case that was supposed to be a sure win. It was for the opposing party to prove their case to win the case. Rachel did not even call the opposing party to the stand. She did not ask the opposing party a single question.
I paid Rachel in full up-front, however, she and her staff continued to call me stating I owed an additional $1,000.00. I had to tell her not to contact me further to solicit funds not owed to her for services I had not hired her for. I did not get anything for the money I spent to hire her. RUN!
