Raley L. Wiggins is a shareholder with Red Oak Legal, P.C., a law firm with offices in Tuscaloosa and Montgomery, Alabama. His practice is focused primarily in the areas of Estate Planning, Elder Law, Probate, and Civil Litigation.
Before becoming an attorney, Raley graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a Bachelor’s degree in music. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law.
While in law school, Raley served as a Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review and also spent two semesters with the Elder Law Clinic. He published his first work in the area of wills and estate planning, Adeemed if You Do, Adeemed if You Don’t: The Testator’s Intent to Passively Revoke a Specific Devise, 61 Ala. L. Rev. 1163 (2010).
He is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, and has been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Southern, and Middle Districts of Alabama. He is a current member and past Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Alabama State Bar Association, and speaks regularly to legal and community groups regarding elder law, estate planning, and probate issues.
Raley is originally from Tuscaloosa, and currently lives in Montgomery with his wife, Sally, and their two daughters.
