Christopher Wayne Long

Christopher Long was born in Arlington, TX and grew up both in the city and on his grandparent’s ranch in East Texas. Growing up with both parents as school teachers, now retired, Chris graduated from Mesquite High School and then attended East Texas State University on a football scholarship. Mr. Long decided to serve his country and left college early to join the US Army Infantry.

After an honorable discharge from the Army, he relocated to Huntsville, AL in 2001. He worked for a restaurant franchise that spanned North Alabama while working hard to complete his undergraduate work at UA Huntsville. Chris graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BSBA in Management and a minor in Economics. In December 2010, he graduated from the Birmingham School of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree.

Chris is married to Dr. Patty Long, who is a Chiropractor in Meridianville, AL. They have 5 wonderful children, Christian, Dayne, J.T., Colt, and Trinity. They are very active in their church, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, in Huntsville, AL, as well as their children’s school. The family enjoys spending time together and being outdoors.

Chris is a member of the Helion Lodge #1 Masonic Lodge, Huntsville, AL. He is a disabled veteran and is a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Chris’ favorite hobbies and interests include spending time with family and friends, golfing, riding his Harley, and shooting sports, as well as coaching his children’s sports teams.
