Trying to get my discharge upgraded was a frustrating and long situation. I was told by many people that it would never happen including other JAG officers. Obviously this was discouraging but when I hired Adam Cumberworth he walked me through the process and answered my numerous questions. He even s...topped me from making a huge mistake of going through different routes which would likely have ruined my chances. He never gave me false hope and made sure I had realistic expectations but I was assured he would do everything in his power to fight it till the end. I must first start by saying from the moment that I contacted Adam he openly communicated with me and gave me advice long before I ever decided to hire him. After two months of going through the process with my command talking with military and private attorneys I decided to hire him, not only becaus...e he genuinely believed me but I also felt he was not a lawyer chasing a paycheck. Finally after six long months of waiting my command decided to send me to an administrative separation board instead of court Marshall. At every turn throughout the board he fired back and defended my character in ways that I could not have done by myself. At the commencement of the board I was extremely happy that they were able to see and understand what had happened and found no basis and therefore I was retained in the United States Marine Corps. I could not be more please with the outcome and I'm not sure how I would of made it through that incredibly tough situation without having Adam on my side. If anyone is a need of legal help I would strongly recommend Adam. If nothing else call him and give him the opportunity to speak with you because if you do I believe that you have a sense of the selfless passion that he has to help everyone he works with.
