Deepti Asthana

Deepti Asthana is the Managing Partner of Caldwell Wenzel & Asthana Personal Injury Lawyers, where she helps lead the firm’s growth, operations, and serious injury litigation practice across Alabama, the Florida Panhandle, and Mississippi.

Deepti joined Caldwell Wenzel & Asthana in 2013 and became Managing Partner in 2019. Her practice focuses on personal injury, including serious auto accidents, trucking collisions, catastrophic injury cases, wrongful death claims, and other complex matters involving significant damages and contested liability.

She is particularly experienced in cases that require substantial litigation resources, careful case development, and trial preparation. Under her leadership, the firm has built a strong regional presence with offices in Foley, Mobile, and Birmingham, Alabama; Pensacola, Florida; and Jackson, Mississippi, while continuing to expand its ability to represent seriously injured clients throughout the Southeast.

Caldwell Wenzel & Asthana is not a volume settlement firm. The firm is built to prepare serious injury cases for litigation and trial when necessary. Its attorneys regularly handle matters involving complex liability, contributory negligence issues, commercial trucking defendants, insurance disputes, and cases requiring significant financial and expert resources.

Deepti also works closely with referring attorneys who need experienced trial counsel for matters that are outside their jurisdiction, outside their primary practice area, or too complex or resource-intensive to handle alone. The firm is structured to litigate referred cases from start to finish while maintaining clear communication with referring counsel and honoring referral relationships.

Before focusing her practice on personal injury, Deepti practiced in the areas of taxation, including corporate and income tax, as well as corporate and securities law. She remains licensed to practice law in the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Raised in New Delhi, India, Deepti brings an international perspective to her legal practice and is fluent in Hindi. She is comfortable working with clients from a wide variety of backgrounds and values the opportunity to guide individuals and families through some of the most difficult periods of their lives.

As Managing Partner, Deepti has also played a central role in developing the firm’s litigation infrastructure, operations, and resources so that its attorneys are prepared to take on insurance companies, corporations, and other defendants in serious injury and wrongful death cases.
