He graduated high school from Madison Central and then attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science. Richard then moved to Birmingham where he attended and earned his law degree from the Birmingham School of Law.
Richard is married to the former Christina Zapf of Brisbane, Australia. He has two children, Trey and Della. He attends church regularly in Montevallo, AL. In his free time, Richard enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He is a full time practicing attorney with The Rose Law Firm, LLC of Birmingham where he handles domestic relations matters.

Richard is a weasel
He conned my mother out of $6000. He poached me from Eversole and then never showed up to court. He LITERALLY never showed up. I fired him before he could do more damage to my case. He said he would pay my mother back but never did. He is a liar and a fraud and I should have sued him for malpractice....

Lacks tenacity
During the time that he represented me, my biggest complaint was that he did not do anything with my case, unless the opposing attorney filed a motion. Bad experience
Do not recommend this attorney for criminal charges charged us a fortune for nothing!! Did not do anything to help my husband’s case. Ridiculous honestly.

Poor attorney
Promised things he didn’t deliver on. Said he would discuss case with DA but don’t think he did as she was malicious regarding outcome. He was late several times and unprepared. On the last day he didn’t even show up. Sent his wife who was a bumbling idiot and hadn’t s clue about what she was doing. ...

The Court ruled in the Mother's favor - granting primary physical custody to the Mother and continuing joint legal custody with both parents. The child now lives in Florida with his mother and is doing very well.
Doucette v. Doucette
