David O'Brien Gatch

Gatch is absolutely the worst lawyer ever! He took my money, lied to me and took more money! I was trying to change my custody arrangements. Gatch didn't do anything for me! I emailed him many times for a receipt or even the final order and he blew me off like I was never even his client. I honestly... feel like he stole my money and ran. Don't hire him! If you want to get something done you're better off just representing yourself! Also all these "5 star" reviews Gatch has on Avvo, are staged to make him look good! He made me submit a five star review before he did anything on my case. Once he had my money, he disappeared! In my opinion, he should be disbarred!

Gatch is very disrespectful and unprofessional, the most despicable lawyer I have ever met. Doesnt answer his cell phone, waits till the last minute to prepare your case. Always thinks he knows everything. He will belittle you, talk to you like you don't have a education, and doesn't care if you get ...pissed off at him over the things he says about you. Once he got your money, its over with. So, future clients beware, do not use this lawyer, you have been warned!!!!!! There are better lawyers out there. Do your research!

Very disappointed in Mr. Gatch. I called him to help with my case in getting my children back. Talked with him per video call (Facetime). Told him my story and all. He got my paperwork from years ago and kept telling me that he would meet with me here in Clanton, AL. Said he would meet me at the cour...thouse on Monday and I never heard from him so I messaged him…he stated he was busy in court all day. Gave me the run around and told me he would then meet me at the courthouse that same Wednesday at 9:30am. Said he would send instructions on where I need to come and so on. I never received a text..no call..no instructions whatsoever. Very unorganized. Thanks a lot for leading me on and not doing what you said you would do.

I made the biggest mistake in my life hiring Gatch and I paid for it. Gatch doesn't even have an office. I met him at Burger King. I gave him $1500 dollars to represent me in a misdemeanor case with municipal court. He was too lazy to get the discovery file. He just went up to the judge and enter...ed a guilty plea. I've never been so screwed in my life So, if you want to pay $1500 for a Shyster to find you guilty, then Gatch is your man He

He was paid up front, that was a big mistake, told me I didn't owe anything else, that was a lie. At first he seemed okay but all he did was,just telling me what he thought I wanted to hear. We had to do a lot of the things he was hired to do, not just one time but several. After he put my case off f...or what I still don't really know. He has no office we had to meet with him in the public, like at fast food places...He failed to defend us in trial, it seemed like I took my self to trial that day. He failed to file our sapennos but nobody showed up..., he never let us know what was really going on before trial, he never prepared us before trial. He told me I had him for the whole day, that was a lie to. In trial he never spoke a word on our behalf, he hands out copies of our evidence, it was ink smeared they couldn't even read what I was trying to present to the judge. He handed me one at first then took it back and gave to my defendant couldn't even see it must less read it. ld think when my main wittness didn't show he should have put it off. I feel like everyone in court that day knowedhe done me wrong. He didn't reject to the first thing basically egnored me in clanton court that day. When he said he rest his case, he jumped up and said I got a trial to go to!!!!.. Remember I supposed to had all day ,after that I had one 2 or3 minute phone, him doing the talking he wouldn't let us ask one??? Until this day nothing, he is a over paid att.I strongly advise anyone who hires this------- don't, but if you do don't and I mean don't pay in full...I traveled over thousand miles one way, made several trips because of him putting off court, never told me anything until I was in clanton alabama. All the secatery work I did he used zero of it in trial, He's acowerd In my book,take somebody's money like that, and want even talk to me on the phone...some kind of Att. I believe he's got a bad drinking problem, that's all he cared to talk about..I don't understand how people like that in times like this how he must feel.. I RECOMMEND JUST ABOUT ANY OTHER ATT.BESIDES HIM ,I DON'T KNOW SEE HOW HE'S GOT REVIEWS LIKE HE DOES, JUST DON'T ADD UPP..TO ME. I've had a lot of att.and he's far the worst, there's some good att in clanton I would recommend...
