I’ve heard horror stories about invalid Wills and poorly drawn documents that failed to work the way the person intended. So even though I’m single with no children, I sought someone who would work WITH ME, helping me to consider alternatives for, to think through, and to set up legally effective ar...rangements. On a financial side I sought someone who would advise me about my home, my investments and other property in the event of mental disability and eventual death. I needed help to minimize my potential taxes and fees as well as understand my digital assets. On the personal side, I wanted to make sure if I was unable to give the directions, someone I’d select would do that for me, and would know when I would want heroic measures and when I would prefer they pull the plug.
