More than pleased with this attorney and his fee for a very comprehensive Estate Plan

After attending his free seminar, at which I became aware of the pitfalls and financial burdens that might result from inadequate plans for asset distribution upon one's death, I decided to avail myself of the complimentary no fee consultation offered by attorney T.J Heinemann. He spent over an hour... with me explaining the intricacies and pitfalls of putting together such a plan. Now my "estate", by comparisons with many who retire to south Florida, is rather paltry. But it is somewhat complicated with multiple real estate holdings in 3 separate states, all of which, although covered in my basic will, might have to undergo costly and time consuming probate in each of those states. Likewise my retirement annuities and cash and security holdings might also be involved in a probate process, as would my second most valuable personal asset, an airplane. My final question, during this consultation, was answered by Mr. Heinemann, before even asked... his fee, and I was mildly surprised by his reply. Having, in my consulting business dealings, been involved with attorneys who's hourly fee would often exceed what I could charge my clients for an entire day, TJ's flat fee for the entire process was, in my estimation, more than fair. The second phase of this undertaking was an almost two hour return visit where all of the details of my current assets and their distribution desires were thoroughly examined inside and out. Mr. Heinemann made copious notes and asked many pertinent questions. A week or so later a return visit was scheduled to go over literally every detail of my Trust Agreement and updated Will, both of which act in consort. This took an additional hour and a half and covered every possible eventuality with regard to my desires. My final appointment was scheduled for a month after the initial visit in order to complete the real estate deed transfers into my Trust and to go over their pertinent details with my life partner and primary beneficiary. All told almost 6 hours of Mr. Heinemann's time was devoted to putting together a very personal comprehensive and all inclusive Estate Plan and Revocable Trust Agreement for an unexpectedly reasonable fee. And what made this even more enlightening was that fact that any future changes or tweaks to this plan would made by TJ at NO ADDITIONAL FEE! PS- What truly amazed me was that during our final meeting Mr. Heinemann could recall each of the details of this Trust Agreement and the names and relationship of my primary beneficiaries without having to refer to notes. He actually remembered the pertinent details of my particular circumstance as if he were one of my family members. This was, in my estimation, a well worth while expenditure in order to help protect what I have worked so hard for all of my life.

Mr. Heinemann provided us with information prior to the appointment, was accommodating relative to the time and date of the appointments, and was thorough in explaining the process. He gave us options and tailored the document to our specific needs.

Going beyond the call of duty...

Mr. Heinemann was awesome. We came to him with a somewhat complicated case (will, living will, probate, estate formation, including several personal and business properties). He clarified everything, and even though he did not have to, he managed to take care of all our out-of-state issues (we are sp...read over two states, which made it a lot more complicated, and may have required another attorney). Knowledgeable, friendly, trustworthy: best way to describe this gem of an attorney. 100% recommended.

Estate Planning

Our introduction to T.J. Heinemann initially was through a seminar he gave on the subject, and followed up with a personal meeting. In both instances we were impressed by his knowledge and ability to articulate clearly legal principles and objectives. He also met our criteria for dedication to his pr...ofession and personal integrity. The Estate Planning documentation he produced was specifically designed to our wishes and needs and we are thoroughly satisfied. This is a recent experience and we fully expect to continue to consult with him in the future as the need arises.
