He didn't have any idea how to pursue a personal injury suit. He let the expiry date come and go on subpoenaing cell phone records as the other driver was texting.

The facts of this case simply do not support this client's allegations. This client made a left turn in front an oncoming vehicle. I filed suit, took depositions, interviewed witnesses, police, conducted discovery and accident reconstruction and subpoenaed the cell phone records. The client's own "witness" he provided to me also did not support the client's version. The client was not happy that all the facts and evidence supported that he made a left turn in front of oncoming traffic and that the other driver was not using her phone until after the accident. I was forced by the client to withdraw from representation and the client still settled his case directly with the insurance company. The client then filed a grievance against me with the Florida Bar. The Florida Bar found no merit to his claim and showed him that I did diligently pursue his claim and reviewed the cell phone records the client alleges I had not subpoenaed.
