When my ex girl friend tried to file domestic battery charges against me I didn't know what to do. A good friend suggested I not take it lightly and hire an attorney. Thankfully another friend referred me to Steven and Jessica. I'm out of state and didn't get served my summons until a day and a half... before the hearing! (Cook county sheriffs deputy handed my summons to me at 8 pm Thursday for court Monday 9 am) Steven and Jessica took my case last minute and we won! I am so very thankful for my friends and my new attorney!

After almost 6 years of trying to resolve a default judgement, time was running out. With only ten days before the court date. I contact Steve Bartlett office and Left a message. This was on a Sunday. By Monday I spoke to Mr Bartlett. By Tuesday he spent all day at the court pulling my case recor...ds looking for any opening to fight this. My odds were not in my favor. By Wednesday he sent me our answer and response to be motorized. By Thursday it was filed. With Monday being a holiday Thursday was the absolute last day to file a response. Our time was short and running out! Steve did not back down. He took this challenge, he made me feel like I was the most important case on his desk. He cared about my mess and worked hard to get me a resolve. Day of court, victory! After Steve fought with every legal knowledge to fight with he found exactly what we needed to get a victory. Amazing! That is all I can saw If you need a lawyer, who cares and will fight like a fierce lion, a pit bull that will not let go, Steve is your guy!

I met with several family law attorneys prior to deciding to hire Attorney Bartlett. I chose to retain him based upon a number of things: upon hearing my situation he had numerous strategies as to how we could handle my situation, all of which would end in a result that i would be happy with; He was ...real with me about what I should and should not expect; He took as much time as I needed to speak with me during my initial consult; and finally, his fees were reasonable. During the entire process, it was sometimes difficult to get in touch with the attorney, but in reality, the fact that he is busy just goes to show that he is a good attorney. He was able to help my ex-husband and myself reach a time sharing agreement that we were both happy with during mediation. Since then, anytime that I have needed his legal advice or help with anything, I have always been able to call him and he has given me the advice that was needed in a very timely manner. He provides enough information for me to handle situations on my own with out having to retain him and without charging me a fee.

When I hired this guy, he talked a good game just to get my money. Throughout the case this guy is missing in action 99% of the time. My scheduled meetings were canceled and rescheduled & driving from Tampa to his office in Pasco is very time consuming & then to find out he is there but doesn't have ...the time for you. In court he was eager to agree to anything the opposing party said did not put up any kinda fight. His billing is terrible its very easy to lose thousands of dollars with this guy KEEP YOUR RECIPES! Regarding this attorney for family I would say he is terrible, not knowledgeable, will not give you the time, quick to pressure you into an agreement with the other side via mediation or court, will not take the time or not capable to present the facts & for important issues as custody & family law in my opinion get a 2nd opinion! After all the mess this attorney created I did get a 2nd opinion from a skilled professional and he cleaned the mess up in 3 months and I got exactly what I wanted. For family law, custody & divorce as important as it is do not use this guy... terrible attorney
