Hired

Very good attorney did everything he said he was going to do I will definitely use him again he did my divorce 13 years ago and now we just hired him to help my son in a criminal case

The WORST family law attorney

When I hired this guy, he talked a good game just to get my money. Throughout the case this guy is missing in action 99% of the time. My scheduled meetings were canceled and rescheduled & driving from Tampa to his office in Pasco is very time consuming & then to find out he is there but doesn't have ...the time for you. In court he was eager to agree to anything the opposing party said did not put up any kinda fight. His billing is terrible its very easy to lose thousands of dollars with this guy KEEP YOUR RECIPES! Regarding this attorney for family I would say he is terrible, not knowledgeable, will not give you the time, quick to pressure you into an agreement with the other side via mediation or court, will not take the time or not capable to present the facts & for important issues as custody & family law in my opinion get a 2nd opinion! After all the mess this attorney created I did get a 2nd opinion from a skilled professional and he cleaned the mess up in 3 months and I got exactly what I wanted. For family law, custody & divorce as important as it is do not use this guy... terrible attorney

"Steve Bartlett is a passionate, dedicated, and excellent lawyer who answers all his calls and knows the law. He is definitely an asset to his clients -- on any type of case. I have known him for a long time and have always been impressed with the positive way he interacts with clients.. He answers their questions thoroughly, prepares them fully before they are in court, and he fights for their cause every step of the way. I would hire him in a New York minute."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
