When my Aunt died in 2013, I had no idea it would take until 2018 to unravel the complexities of her estate, as a non-USA citizen living in Europe. As Dawn helped us with one issue, another unexpected element would crop up, creating yet more and more paperwork for both Dawn and us to go through.... Throughout this period Dawn was clear in what we needed to do next, supported us far beyond her mandate, and as the months rolled into years , was as supportive as any Attorney could be. From her first response to our initial request for help, to following through to completion of the Probate for my Aunt, she could not have been more supportive and professional. As I live in Minnesota, and I had never needed to settle the estate of a parent who passed away as she lived in Florida, I had no clue of how to begin the process, and I was not getting much help from Lee County. Only after searching for Estate Lawyers that were licensed in Florida, we "stumbled" up...on a couple of Attorneys to interview. With Dawn, there was no interview necessary. Dawn Ellis Ellis is a very professional, organized, thorough and responsive Probate Attorney. My Mom passed and I needed assistance to close out her Estate and when I checked with my family lawyer in Fort Lauderdale, he advised that his fee would be 10% of the Estate. That was not acceptable, so I ...found Dawn on-line. I was initially concerned because she is based on the other side of the state where I live; however, when speaking with her she advised that it would not be an issue as she regularly did Probate work in Fort Lauderdale (where I live). Dawn put me at ease by sending me very detailed instructions and information as to how to properly complete the probate court forms she sent and we did the entire probate process via e-mail, faxes and US Mail. And she was also available on the phone when needed. Her fees were very fair, simple and clear and ended up saving me and the Estate many thousands of dollars less than going through my family attorney. We contacted Dawn after finding her during an Internet search. We needed an attorney in Florida to do the legal work required to transfer the ownership of properties located in Port Charlotte and in Port Malabar from my Aunt to my brother and myself. These properties should have been included in my A...unt's estate, but were not. I reside in Michigan, and Dawn handled all of this as our sole legal representative in Florida. We did not have to travel there, and all legal issues pertaining to this matter were resolved by Dawn exactly as we wanted.
