Mr DeCiantis took my case on very short notice and allowed me to owe him a significant portion of his fee. In court he was a tiger and fought tooth and nail for me. It is a very well established fact on the Internet t...hat the disgruntled will run to post slanderous, one-sided complaints whilst more satisfied clients simply don't tend to post. Mr. DeCiantis is a smart, sophisticated attorney who cared about my case. He set the courtroom on fire with his expertise and strategy. Men like this, who enter politics, change the world for the better, to say the least. There is not a better attorney in this area. I've hired several attorneys in this county and feel my opinion is not overstated. You would be very lucky to get him, period.

My ex husband and I had been married for 29 years during which time my main job was to tend to the children and home while working jobs to secure medical coverage as my ex was self employed. After paying alimony for 4 weeks the ex stopped paying, I had to drop my medical coverage and drop out of scho...ol. I hired Joe who took over a year to do anything as I was falling further and further into financial ruin all of the while I had to keep paying him because we had to "meet" and we had to hire an investigative CPA. I was told after I paid the CPA 1100. that if it ran over that amount I would be notified, I never was until I was handed a large bill for services. He never returned phone calls, dragged out what should have taken a short amount of time.

I contacted the Florida State Bar consumers division. After two years they found him guilty on many counts. They just sent me a letter saying basically they are going to give Joseph R. Deciantis a public reprimand, whatever that is, and he needs to pay the courts $1,300.00 for legal fees. As clients ...we get nothing unless we take him to small claims court. Karma, that's all I need to say! I've recently heard it's found him.

I hired this man for a child support case. He quickly cashed a check for five thousand dollars, took over a year on a case that should have taken three months because of "personal problems", and my ex-husband and I ended up writing our own settlement to get it over with. In my opinion, he is a "...criminal" lawyer.

I hired Attorney Deciantis to help me with a modification of child custody and child support. I also mailed a $5000.00 retainer fee and a year later after NOTHING had been accomplished, after he was impossible to get a hold of, he took himself off the case and failed to notify me. I am in the process... of trying to get back the unearned amount he stole from me. He certainly did not earn the fee regardless of whether his contract says "earned upon receipt." All complaints need to be filed through the Florida Bar Association. I still have to hire another attorney to finish the case I originally hired him to do. I would never recommend him to anyone. Ever.
