My ex husband and I had been married for 29 years during which time my main job was to tend to the children and home while working jobs to secure medical coverage as my ex was self employed. After paying alimony for 4 weeks the ex stopped paying, I had to drop my medical coverage and drop out of scho...ol. I hired Joe who took over a year to do anything as I was falling further and further into financial ruin all of the while I had to keep paying him because we had to "meet" and we had to hire an investigative CPA. I was told after I paid the CPA 1100. that if it ran over that amount I would be notified, I never was until I was handed a large bill for services. He never returned phone calls, dragged out what should have taken a short amount of time.

Thank you for your reviews on this attorney. I used him some 3 years ago when I had to deal with my ex.....he did minimal work for the $5,000 retainer I gave him and was told the retainer was not refundable. I am in need of a lawyer again and was thinking of going back to him, but I was saved from ...that mistake after reading the previous reviews. Thank you all and thank you Avvo

He wasted a year and a half of my time, over $10, 000 and what should have taken 3 months, took 2 years. Actually, I had to fire him after a year and a half and hire another attorney who settled my divorce and child custody quickly and amicably. This attorney was negligent in returning phone calls an...d keeping me up to date on my case. I would never recommend him to anyone!

He took $2,500 from me for my divorce and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. After a year of him playing hide & seek from me I pulled the plug and got another attorney. This man never,repeat, never even filed one piece of paper. I guess he was too busy going on his vacations or driving his Porsche to bother wit...h me.
