The other reviews are right based on skill. There is a huge amount of skill in this office. However. There is also a huge amount of pride. After spending over $55k on her fees, when things didn’t go exactly the way Debra wanted, she got “offended” and decided to pass us off mid court, stating that th...ere was issues with council. Perfect example of the typical Attorney Stereotype. We still won our case even though she left us high and dry. Her words were “I’m too busy to deal with this emotion, I’m taking care of my elderly parents and trying to be an attorney full time, and you are too draining of a person for me to deal with.” Maybe take some time off and reconsider why you got into this business to begin with. To help people. Not help your pride. Looking at other posts and based on conversations in the community. It looks like, if you are a woman. Debra will do fine with you. But based on statistics, she does not work well when representing men in her family cases. She allows her female pride to constantly put men down and their abilities.

Debra Salisbury will fabricate facts, and defend DCF knowing that the facts they have found as allegations are false. Salisbury defends parents that abuse kids, and takes them from loving homes when it’s in her best interest ($$$). She is a despicable person devoid of morality and a disgrace to the l...egal profession.

I hired Debra Salisbury in a recent reopened child custody case. We were granted everything I had asked for in court plus a reimbursement for her attorney fees, which is more than I could have hoped for. She is pricey but worth every penny and she did not retain me until it was clear that we had enou...gh evidence to go to court. I wished I would have had her for my divorce proceedings as my ex probably would not have gotten away with as much as he did. She was prepared to a T, asked the right questions in court and would also contact me after hours on weekend days when it was needed. She is a perfectionist, upfront, and did not waste my time and money.

Ms. Salisbury was contacted the day prior to a shelter hearing for my son in 2009. She saw us the same day, had a very reasonable charge, and presented our case perfectly resulting in DCF returning our 5 month old baby that afternoon. Being falsely accused of abuse is incredibly difficult to go throu...gh, and DCF seems like a powerhouse you cannot question. Ms. Salisbury made it clear we had been cooperative and that their argument for taking our son was an unnecessary medical procedure. We prevailed and DCF never tried to take our child after the correct medical test was administered. If we had not found her, we may have lost our son or had him undergo a terrible procedure, for no reason. If you need an attorney to cut to the heart of your argument, understands the judges and their ideals, is effective to the max, and cares about people in a tough position, choose Ms. Salisbury.
