Mr. Pillion and his team made it possible for me to obtain Medicaid for my husband who was admitted to a nursing home. He and his team were very methodical and knew what documents were required to facilitate getting my husband on Medicaid. To me, it seemed like a very complicated process, but he and ...his team were able to guide me through the maze and we got the job done. Mr. Pillion also wrote a new will and trust document for me, upon my request, and covered all aspects very carefully. I can't say enough nice things about my experience at the law office. Mr Pillion and his team, Shannon Feinroth (paralegal) and Catherine Csaky (client care advocate) turned a very difficult situation for me into something absolutely doable. We had to go through the entire gamut of Elder issues and eventually end of life matters for my brother, Vito. First Kevin himself handled the legal requirements, assigned his ALF/Nursing home specialists, Catherine. She was tremendous in helping us make a decision along with accompanying costs, ...etc, while his excellent staff person, Shannon, applied for VA benefits and got us started with Medicaid issues. Having two aging parents with Dementia and with my Mom having a stroke that led to her placement in a Long Term Care Facility, I met Kevin for the first time for a free consultation. I told Kevin I had taken care of what I thought was all the necessary paperwork for my parents. I never thought eith...er of my parents would end up in a Long Term Care Facility. He mapped out a plan and showed me what was necessary to do at this time. He and his staff put me at ease and were very helpful and supportive.Then when my Dad passed, I returned to Kevin once again and this time hired him to help out with this next stage in my Parent's life.Now with my Dad gone and his Pension and Health benefits completely stopped for my Mom, I needed a plan for my Mom's future care. At the time of my Mom's stroke the Doctors had given my Mom a six month survival rate and had Hospice come and work with her at the Long Term Facility. It was now two years after my Mom's stroke and the savings were going down from the cost of the Long Term Care and were not going to last much longer.I needed Kevin's help on helping me apply for Medicaid for my Mom. Kevin and his assistant Shannon Feinroth, kept me calm and led me through the long and tedious process. It was because of Kevin and his professional team and their expertise, that my Mom was approved for Medicaid. It was fate that I met Kevin Pillion and his team. Prior to my personal use of his services, Kevin and I had a great working relationship with mutual clients as it pertained to their life care planning. He is thorough and always puts the client first in every situation. He has a unique way of making ...a morbid discussion lite and interesting. He brings to light the what if scenarios that make you think on a deeper level. He takes a singular focus with each individual to understand them and make clear what is most important for them to protect. He identifies flaws in previously drafted estate plans and how to mitigate them and protect you and your family. 3 months after meeting Kevin and working on several cases with mutual clients. I went to him for my own personal estate planning and my father's estate planning. After meeting with my father and I he recognized that there was no adequate documents in place for my father to protect him in the event of a serious health crisis especially due to his poor health condition. Two months later after Kevin had completed his documents my father suffered a PE and went into the hospital completely brain dead hooked up to machines that artificially prolonged his life, something my father did not want. When I arrived to the hospital with the plan Kevin prepared, the doctor said to me "this is the most extensive and explicit document she has ever seen. Who is the attorney that prepared this? I would like to meet him!" At that point I was able to make the necessary decisions to follow his wishes. To this day my father could have still been hooked up to those machines had Kevin not helped us. Kevin and his team made it easier for me to cope with my father's passing and worked with me throughout his estate proceeding. I would recommend his practice to anyone in need of life care planning.
