Andrea Johnson was hired to guide me through Florida’s landlord/tenant law. After the initial consultation I felt she possessed the skill to help me deal with a tenant who was determined to make every aspect of leaving the landlords property as difficult as possible. Andrea was extremely knowledgeab...le of the law and after becoming familiar with the details of this case developed a plan to remove the tenant from the property. That plan was clearly stated and written in precise language which left no room for misunderstanding by the tenant. She was patience with my questions and countered with questions of her own to make sure she had a clear and accurate picture of her client’s needs. After dealing with a flake of an attorney that ran me around in circles for three and a half years, I was referred to Andrea. I was dealing with an issue caused by the title company when I purchased a winter home in Florida in 2012. I payed cash for the house at the time, but I wanted my boyfriend ...to be able to stay in the home if I passed away first, with it going to my estate upon his death. I trusted the title company, but when my boyfriend passed away, I learned that my boyfriend's heirs were entitled to half the equity in the house. My step-son knew I had paid for it, and was willing to sign off, but the step-daughter refused to cooperate. This is a 40-year-old with two kids, who has never had a job, and lives with her mother. She is also a two-time felon, and despite spoiling her and her kids rotten for years, including a trip to Disneyland, she refused to sign any paperwork, causing me to have to fight the issue legally. It was a stressful several years, to put it mildly. Andrea gave me information, which was completely opposite from my original attorney, who obviously didn't know what he was doing. I am happy to report that Andrea has completely resolved the issue, and the house I paid for, is now totally mine. The stress is now finally gone, and I couldn't be any more grateful to Andrea for being in my corner. We are landlords and have been for 20 years and unfortunately recently we picked the wrong tenant even after a background check.
