Herman Harris Tarnow

For more than five decades, Herman Tarnow has guided clients through complex family and matrimonial matters with steady counsel and strategic advocacy. A 1967 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law and a Syracuse Law Review author, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers. His publications include works for Thomson Reuters and the National Law Journal, such as “The View from My Side of the Desk: Sex in the City—One Episode Too Many,” “Distribution of Collectibles in Divorce Proceedings,” and “Tax Reform Act—A Matrimonial Lawyer’s Guide.” He co‑authored “Alimony Changes under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” for the Collier County Adverse Witness, and his insights have appeared in the Naples Daily News, Forbes, and The New York Times.
