Biography
Jason has spent his entire 24+ year legal career handling complex civil litigation. He concentrates in business, commercial and construction litigation. Jason has represented clients in a wide variety of matters, including transactional disputes, business torts, commercial disputes, construction law and construction litigation, partnership and shareholder disputes, and trust and estate litigation. His practice also includes providing advice and counseling to clients on a wide variety of business related issues, with an emphasis on representing sophisticated businesses and individuals. He has represented public and privately held businesses, partnerships and individuals in numerous types of business related matters.
Jason has been recognized by Best Lawyers of America in the categories of Commercial Litigation and Construction Law. Gulfshore Life Magazine previously identified Jason as one of the “Go-To Lawyers’’ and “A-List Advocates” for complex litigation in the five counties of Southwest Florida. Jason has served as Chairman of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 20th Judicial Circuit (appointed by Florida Governor Jeb Bush), President of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Collier County Bar Association, President of the American Inns of Court, Thomas S. Biggs Section, President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Collier County Bar Association, Chairman of the United Way of Collier County Board of Directors, Chairman of the Edison State College Foundation District Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Education Committee of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.
Experience
Jason began his legal career as a litigator in New York City representing large companies and healthcare providers in high-exposure tort claims and product liability claims. Prior to joining Cohen & Grigsby, Jason was a Partner at Cummings & Lockwood in Naples, Florida.
Jason is the Managing Director of the Florida offices of Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. He is a member of the Litigation, Construction, and Shareholder and Partnership Disputes Practice Groups of the firm. He is also Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Construction Law.
