Biography
Paula C. Roman grew up on the New Jersey shore with four brothers. She graduated with high honors and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida in 1973. She worked in various Florida hospitals as a registered nurse in medical-surgical and intensive care units from 1973 through 1982. Paula graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 1986.
She began her legal career working for the Tampa law firm of Marlow Shofi Smith Hennen & Smith, P.A., practicing insurance defense. She has been a partner of Roman & Roman since 1987. She is a member of the Trial Lawyers section of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of The Florida Justice Association, the Kiwanis Club of Dunedin and the Clearwater Audubon Society. She lives in Clearwater, Florida, and has one son. Paula enjoys water sports, boating, running and hiking.
