Laura E. Simon

Laura Simon is a dedicated litigator guided by compassion for her clients in the pursuit of justice. With an accomplished career in public service and a former defense attorney, Ms. Simon leverages her extensive experience to zealously advocate for those who have suffered at the hands of another.

Ms. Simon began her legal practice with a passion for advocacy. She studied at Stetson University College of Law and earned the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award. Ms. Simon also interned with numerous governmental bodies during her studies to include the United States Attorney’s Office in the Violent Crimes and Narcotics Trafficking Division in Washington, D.C.

She started her successful legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Fredericksburg, Virginia, followed by the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Florida. As lead trial counsel, Ms. Simon established an unprecedented track record of results for her clients. Ms. Simon continued her service as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County where she prosecuted those who violated the law, and protected clients’ rights inside and outside of the courtroom.

Prior to joining Perenich Law Injury Attorneys, Ms. Simon learned the inner workings of insurance companies as she defended various claims for major insurance carriers. The methods employed by the insurance industry to deny the claims of the injured and their refusal to engage in honest negotiations on behalf of their insureds motivated Ms. Simon to change her focus of representation. Ms. Simon developed an unwavering empathy for the injured and joined Perenich Law Injury Attorneys in their fight for justice.

Ms. Simon is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as several United States District Courts to include the Northern District of Florida, Middle District of Florida, and Southern District of Florida. Ms. Simon strengthens her involvement in the legal community as a member of various organizations to include, The Florida Bar Leadership Academy Committee, Section VI, V; Florida Justice Association; Hillsborough County Bar Association; and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Pinellas County Chapter. Ms. Simon was also honored under a rigorous peer-review process for her work in personal injury as Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America, 2025.

Ms. Simon is devoted to giving back to her community and supporting education. She volunteers for Lawyers for Literacy and Guardian ad Litem for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. Ms. Simon also presents annually at several Great American Teach-In events throughout Pinellas County and has been a guest speaker on civil rights at Saint Leo University and The University of Tampa.
