Rude Lawyer
I called Mrs. Preston for an appointment she returned my call and set up an appointment. When the appointment time came she was late and when I called her she was rude. When we spoke she appeared busy and uninterested in my case. She told me my concern was not covered under family law and could not...
My website and advertisements clearly indicate what areas of law that I practice. This consultation's appointment was yesterday (the day prior to her writing this review) and she appeared at her appointment (30 minutes) earlier then the scheduled time. In addition, she requested I send a "threatening" letter to a "church." I do not engage in that type of practice of law and not sorry that I would not accept her case.

Horrible attorney don't wast your money!!!!!!
Mrs.preston did nothing for me you get what you pay for I paid her $500 dollars after finding her on cragislist I guess I can blame myself I should have known better. She did not present any evidence at all she told me her self she went over my case overnight because she works better under pressure w...
I remember this case quite well. I was retained for the second day of a two day trial. This particular client tried to represent herself and unfortunately, the first day of the trial is when she was to present her evidence, and she did so unrepresented. The review states that she "lost her kids." If you consider granting 50/50 time-sharing losing your children, then she "lost." The hardest part of being an attorney is having clients with unrealistic expectations. In most cases, the judges award the "other" parent time-sharing. I understand though, how difficult these cases are when your feelings and emotions are involved. Family law is a tough. Sometimes the clients blame the attorneys when they do not get the result that they desire. Unfortunately and fortunately, the end result has more to do with the evidence presented and the application of the law, then feelings and emotions.

All talk, no action
Lawyer didn't present evidence or call witnesses. She let ex's lawyer bash me, call objection repeatedly and do most of the talking.
Clients must understand that you cannot just admit any items into evidence on the day of the trial and just expect them to be admitted without objection. You must be fully prepared for trial and that is why we schedule trial preparation. People hire attorneys because they know the law, however, some people believe that they know best and expect the attorney to follow. This client states that she felt bashed by the opposing attorney but, the opposing attorney represents the opposing party and is not concerned with anyone other than their clients own interests. This client states that I did not call witnesses, however, there were no witnesses available to support her claims. This client has also failed to state that the ruling was in her favor, which shows that sometimes, as attorneys, we cannot please every client, no matter what the outcome.

Never hire this lawyer
I hired Summer to represent me in my divorce. Summer was not knowledgeable and as a result I have to pay $2,000.00 a month to my former wife. I've gone through an appeal and have been able to address at great expense Summer's lack of legal experience.
Although this case was over three years old, it is very familiar to me. I try to explain to clients that the law prevails, no matter what attorney you choose, the courts must follow the letter of the law. In reading over this case, which was appealed, the above finding of support was affirmed by the Appellate Court. Therefore, the spousal support award was justified. I wish as attorneys, we could please all of our clients, but, in reality, we too, have an obligation to be truthful, from the very beginning, even if it means that they may be facing a spousal or child support obligation. It should also be noted that no matter what attorney you choose, no attorney is above the law,.
