Seth Nelson concentrates his practice in Family Law and Family Law Mediation. In 2001, he earned his Juris Doctor from University of Florida, College of Law. After graduation, he clerked for The Hon. John C. Godbold, Senior Circuit Judge for the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Nelson is the sole shareholder of Seth R. Nelson, P.A. that is conveniently located in South Tampa. He is divorced, has a young child and understands that the best outcome of a case is not necessarily at trial. He is known for developing creative solutions to help his clients obtain the best overall outcome for them and their families.

He is a Board Member for the Hillsborough County Bar Association Family Law Section, Member of the Hillsborough County Family Law Inn of Courts and is a former Candidate for Tampa City Council.

Legal Support
I contacted Seth for support regarding a Family Law matter. He was immediately responsive. Once he looked into the case detail, he realized that it would be in my best interest to get legal support in a different Florida Country for best value. Not only did he recommend this, he interviewed different lawyers for me, and selected who he thought strongest to support the case. No doubt the most personal and professional legal support I have ever gotten, and I have used a lot of legal services in the past 20 years as owner of a multi-national corporation.

Best Choice
Finding the right attorney can be a challenge, especially for a strong personality client (i.e. me). It was very important that I found someone not only extremely capable of dealing with my case but also dealing with me. I needed someone to support me when i was on the right train of thought, or advise me when I wasn't. Seth and his team were very attentive to me and prompt in moving my case forward. He always gave sound advise and talked me down when necessary. I could not have picked a better attorney to handle my case. Awesome work and quick resolution!

If your dissolution of marriage case in any way involves RSU’s, PSU’s & LTI, you need Seth Nelson in your corner on Day 1. He is extremely well-versed in this area, and has the ability to explain what it all means, as it pertains to your case, in a way that makes sense. From that point on, allow Seth to do the “heavy lifting.” This is where he shines. You’ll quickly appreciate his no-nonsense approach—minimizing the minutiae & focusing on the big picture—to achieve optimal results. The entire team at NK is friendly, professional and responsive. Special shouts out to Madison and Shawn for effective and timely administrative coordination, Diana in billing, and Kaley for assisting Seth with my case. Divorce is emotional and financial hell. While I sincerely hope the need never arises, I would highly recommend Seth and his team to family and friends.

Look no further, Seth is THE ONE.
Seth and all those at his firm patiently guided me through the most trying time of my life. They kept me informed and always provided quick responses to my questions. And they were the bull dogs I needed on my side of the table. They showed compassion, they know their stuff, and their support left me feeling empowered through the entire process. An Amazing Lawyer
Finding Seth on Avvo was a blessing. I needed a lawyer just before Christmas, and Seth was there for me. He spent four hours on a Saturday to processed my divorce paperwork and work towards getting my children back. He is extremely knowledgeable and only wants the best for his clients. Outstanding support throughout and even after!!
I recommend Seth Nelson and his firm to ANYONE going through a divorce. Seth and his team were available to me anytime I needed. They were professional and managed to get a settlement that was beyond what I expected. This included developing a child sharing plan that was acceptable to both my ex and I. More than 3 years later, I had post-settlement issue arise. I emailed Seth and within minutes, he called to provide advice to me. Minutes!! I cannot express my gratitude to him and he legal team enough. He is caring and compassionate, but fiercely protective of his clients and wiling to use all means within his legal authority to achieve beneficial settlements. Best Lawyer Ever!!!
My divorce was a nightmare. The constant custody battle made me not sleep at night. As soon as I hired Seth Robert Nelson I immediately felt at ease. Honest, Confident, & Got the Job Done!
Seth Nelson took on my daughter's case with regards to obtaining her permission to grant U.S. Passport with an absent parent. Forever thankful
Seth was the right man for my very tough and complex case. Seth was available when ever I needed to speak with him and had additional questions or concerns about the case and went above on beyond all the time. Best Lawyer in Florida
IF YOU NEED AN ATTORNEY-HIRE THIS ONE!!!! Seth and his team are exceptional. From the beginning, he was outstanding. He was there to answer all my questions, all my concerns and help alleviate the stress I was feeling. It was a difficult case to say the least and yet he handled it professionally and confidently. Each time we walked out of the courtroom, I felt even better than I had before. From the first court hearing to the last, Seth stood by me. I hired him for the repeating, never ending, modifications of the final divorce decree. He has never let me down. Amazing Attorney
I cannot say enough good about this law firm. From start to finish and everything in between, the team was there. Seth exceeded my expectations always during hearings and was absolutely incredible at the final hearing. I wish I could say that our case is forever done, but as with a lot of custody cases, we will have to go back and we will definitely hire Seth and his firm again. They are a wonderful group; from Shawn at the front, Desereah and Sherrie in the back behind the scenes doing research and preparations that are phenomenal when you get to trial and Seth carries it from there. He is prepared, ready and geared up for trial. I cant imagine going to trial without Seth Nelson by my side. Again, this group is AMAZING!

I was a little nervous after our initial consultation because he wasn't saying everything that I wanted to hear. But he was honest and prepared me for all possible outcomes. He assured me that he would fight for the well-being of my minor child and he did just that. His words to me "you may hate me when this is over". And he was so wrong. Seth Nelson is an Excellent Lawyer
Seth is a fantastic lawyer who is competent, reliable, smart and hard working. During my divorce process, I always felt like I was getting the attention I needed and was reassured to know that he was my lawyer during such a difficult time. I was impressed that Seth knew the differences among the judges and how to use that in his approach. He was on top of the constant changing nature of my case, and continued to apply a new perspective if needed. I am very pleased with the outcome of my divorce, and could not have done it without the skill and expertise of Seth. He is also a good person who is dedicated to his clients, and makes them feel they are a priority.
