Not for the middle class

⭐️ If I could give zero stars, I would. I hired this attorney hoping for strong legal representation and personal attention—unfortunately, I received neither. He initially agreed to a payment plan, which was important to me as a working individual. However, during the course of my case, I lost my ...job and fell behind on payments. I retained him before I was ever arrested—when the police first came to my home asking questions. Despite hiring him early, the officer later informed me that my attorney had never reached out, which I later confirmed through official documentation. That lack of communication was alarming. At my first arraignment ,the state presented an offer—yet my attorney later claimed no offer was ever made, which was simply untrue. As the weeks went on, I made multiple attempts to contact him through his office. His assistant repeatedly told me she would pass on the message, but I received no communication from him for over a month. With my second arraignment approaching , I finally received a call from him—just one day before—informing me that he was withdrawing from the case due to my missed payments. This was extremely distressing, as my job loss was directly related to the stress and uncertainty caused by the pending charges. I hired him because I wanted a lawyer who would treat my case with care and fight for me. Instead, I felt disregarded, misled, and ultimately abandoned. If you’re not wealthy or able to pay upfront without issue, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for legal representation.

We take all client concerns seriously and regret that you were dissatisfied with your experience. However, several key statements in your review are not accurate. Mr. Lopez was retained at the early stages of your case and acted promptly to initiate communication with law enforcement. While you suggest there was no outreach, Mr. Lopez made multiple documented attempts to contact the investigating officer well before any warrant was issued. Regarding your court date, it appears there is confusion. Your arraignment did not occur on May 24, as this was a weekend. Additionally, no plea offer is typically extended at arraignment; this stage is procedural, and any suggestion otherwise misrepresents how criminal proceedings operate. As for communication, we understand that this was a stressful time for you. Mr. Lopez and his staff did respond to inquiries and informed you of his intent to withdraw when it became clear that payments were not being made and you expressed interest in working with a public defender instead. While we strive to accommodate clients facing financial hardship, our ability to continue representation is dependent on active collaboration and mutual commitment. We wish you the best in resolving your legal matter and hope you find representation that suits your expectations.

"I endorse this lawyer and give him my highest professional and personal endorsement based upon his extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of complex criminal defense work at the State and Federal level. I have often sought advice and opinion from Ray based upon his extensive trial work and negotiating skills with prosecutors. I would recommend Mr. Lopez without question and in fact have brought him in on many matters as co-counsel and also referred conflict cases to him over the past twenty years. I have never received any complaints from any of these clients and he receives high marks in all categories. The bottom line....they were represented by caring and learned counsel and benefitted with favorable outcomes and case dispositions. I would be happy to speak with any prospective client of his firm regarding their ultimate decision in retaining him in their hour of need."
