I hate writing bad reviews, but if this review saves even one person from being mistreated the way my Nana has been, it will have been well worth the writing. At every step of the way, my Nana's divorce case has been mishandled by Kendrick and his staff. They started by missing the initial consult...ation. After the initial consultation, on October 1st, they indicated that divorce papers would be served the following week (10/5-10/9). After the week passed, no one from this law office contacted my Nana to update her on the status of her case. Instead, my Nana had to play babysitter and reach out to them. When she called, Kendrick's team informed her that her case "was not in the docket". Nobody informed her why her case wasn't in the docket or how this blip would be remedied; she was just left wondering. At the time of writing, it is October 20th, and no progress has been made to serve the divorce papers. I cannot express what a tremendous pity it has been watching my Nana try to work through this process with no guidance or support from her legal team. I expected that a lawyer should guide their client through unfamiliar legal processes and paperwork. But I can confidently say that my Nana has not been informed at any stage of this process: whether it's what's happening now, what should happen next, what may happen next, or even foreseeable pitfalls. I do not wish any harm on anyone, and I hope this team can pull it together for my Nana's sake. But after this horrific experience, it is my humble, biased opinion that the Florida Bar should reconsider this counselor's licensure.
