Spelled my name wrong for my name restoration

Not only did the attorney (Mr Law) spell my name wrong on my divorce paperwork twice, but he did it on the only line of the paperwork that mattered, the name change line. On the paperwork to have my maiden name restored he misspelled my FIRST NAME, not the last name I was changing, my first name. He ...never sent me paperwork to review before submitting it and everything was done via telephone due to covid. After bringing it to the their attention to have it fixed they sent it in to the judge wrong AGAIN, I’m sorry, but how does an attorney that charges for this service spell his clients name wrong on a legal name change? Spelling is education 101 for just about any field. No apology or anything just resubmitted the paperwork until he eventually got it right on his third try. I wish I would have spent the extra $100 on an attorney that can spell to avoid this headache.

Do your research!

Josh gives a great sales pitch when you first meet him. He said that "he would be my shield in court" against my ex and his aggressive attorney but when it came to it, he sat there and said nothing. He made so many empty promises and none of them came to be. Everything he said that he would do, I ...had to follow up several times or end up doing myself. Every document created by his office had to be reviewed and always had errors that had to be corrected prior to them being submitted to court. He was never prepared to go to court and I always had to give him an outline of what was going on but he was still clueless about my case. He never sent me a monthly invoice like his contract states, just a large invoice when his office got around to do the billing. He kept a large amount of money out of money he was holding in escrow as ordered by the court, which he stated was as a "trial retainer." We didn't end up going to trial and when I asked for my retainer back, it took him weeks and it was for a significant amount less than it should have been. He again has been elusive for weeks still holding a large amount of money and giving vague answers and an invoice with outrageous charges. Josh is a nice guy and knows the law but he is so scattered and disorganized that he cannot represent a client in an effective and efficient manner. Don't waste your money or time at this law firm. Do diligent research before you hire an attorney.

Hired him for divorce and custody

After he was paid in full even his secretary does not. Return calls. He did not show for court. Instead represented over the phone. Can not get this finished because he is absolutely unresponsive.

My nightmare

Hired attorney for a family matter and he did not show to court, instead mhe had another attorney represent me on the phone which is not what I paid him for. Anyone needing representation should seek the services of an attorney who has his best interest in your case, not your money.
