After 3 years I was able to get a signed declaration of paternity. It took hiring another attorney to do what this office was not capable of. I give 2 stars for the lessons learned beginning with not hiring an attorney that is quick to take your case without first learning your situation. I had polic...e reports of abuse and if and when my was in the state and available took the children the situations were not well to say the least, when even known. The retainer did not cover any motions towards the goals set in the 5 minute consultation. The case sat idle at times until motion to dismiss due to lack of prosecution when I would receive refresher fees. Multiple times my ex and I came to agreements that Josh law refused to entertain Nor did he entertain my request for a GAL. It was only when a social worker for my daughters when asking me questions that I could only answer with my attorney knows about this and the past three years worth of concerns, and they contacted his office did they call me back stating there were valid and credible concerns needing addressed immediately. I refused to pay another 750 for a motion stating the lack of information causing failure of previous motions which they offered to file without further payment. When that motion sat idle 2 months due to the way it was filed I obtained new counsel. This office offered me back 500 dollars if I’d sign a non disclosure which I couldn’t be any more offended by and suggested they refund the full amount given the situations the children endured during those years. New council was able to have the declaration, bypassing mediation, and orders giving the safety and security needed signed and in my hand that this office promised years prior in less than 3 months. The reviews saying this office does not call back or return emails are true as emails I sent went unread. It took calling the bar to contact them to have a return call around the time the social worker wanted to speak with him. Emails that sat unanswered included a draft from my account 2 weeks after a refresher fee they could not explain. Josh Law taught me about the side of family law that needs attention and reminder that good work isn’t cheap and cheap work isn’t good. Also there’s a huge difference in legal counsel and legal aide and not to expect proper representation by someone who doesn’t take the time to know your family/situation. After all the calls over the time they did “represent” me the question always asked do the children live with you? Given they never moved to finalize my paternity I suppose they knew how insecure the situation really was. There’s more though that’s a good portion of my experience.

I paid for a temporary child custody petition for our Granddaughter last Jan. Our daughter passedxaway in Jan. And she had 100% Custody. No idea where father is. I paid Marble Law to draft and file custody case. They assigned me to Josh. Petition was filled out. By Marce nothing else had been done.... They said they were looking for child's dad to serve him. At that time I found out I need guardianship also. I hired and paid Joshua Law 3500 for this job. They said they had enough info from custody case to file petition. I called 3 time since then and left messages to see what was going on with the 2 cases. Never got a return phone call. Finally today Aug. 8 I got receptionist who knew nothing. A paralegal would call me at 415pm. He called. Josh no longer worked for Marble Law. Returned custody case to them. His office never noticed me. 6 months and no resolution to custody!!!. Ok seems guardianship case I paid him 3500 for in March 24 " Fell through thr cracks ." And nothing was done. Except count my 3500 . Never even filled out petition. So sorry.. Today I finally received petition to sign. My husband and I are seniors on a fixed income. I cannot afford to pay for custody or guardianship again. But these took us for a ride. I can't even get my granddaugher health insurance because I don't have custody. So upset over this. DONOT HIRE THIS FIRM

I can't thank him enough for everything he did for me and my kids. When I finally decided to file for divorce after coming from a very abusive marriage, my ex-husband did everything he could to punish me and my kids. After I got a restraining order against him, things got worse and he left us with ze...ro financial support. He is also very knowledgeable and efficient, avoiding unnecessary discussions and always sticking to relevant points. During four years of a massive divorce battle, Mr. Law kept me and my kids safe. I was granted temporary sole custody and awarded the right to sell assets to support us financially while my ex refused to pay temporary child support or alimony. A few months ago, I finally got divorced. I now have sole custody of my kids, and I am now financially capable of starting fresh.
