Biography

John Jude Thresher, spends his days carrying on his father’s legacy as a prominent Florida Board Certified Construction Attorney. John a lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida, was raised with strong values and an unsurpassed work ethic; these values were furthered in his role as a third baseman for Florida Southern College. Baseball taught John determination, teamwork, and enhanced his acute mental abilities. The values imparted by a loving family as well as those imparted through athletics ensure that John will always work hard to exceed all expectations. To wit, John received the highest score on The Florida Bar exam and was invited to speak on behalf of the 2001 inductees for the Swearing in Ceremony at the Second District Court of Appeal in Lakeland, Florida. John devoted his formative years to learning not only the construction trades, but also to understanding the people behind the growth and development that make up his beautiful home state.

Commercial Swimming Pool Contractor

I first hired John about four years ago.He was referred to me by one of my peers in my industry.I had a General contractor who was not paying me and i was afraid he was going to take advantage of me as long as he could and get rid of me. I had been in business for 36 years and had never been in this ...position before.I was afraid i could lose my business,they owed me a lot of money and i had spent a lot to get this job done.First John assured me i was in the right and it could take a while but i would get paid eventually as this was a bonded job.John spent a lot of time with me explaining the laws to me and the path we would have to take to get resolution.As it turned out i was right this contractor was indeed unscrupulous and employed every tactic to stall the proceedings hoping i would give up and just go away.When we finally got to mediation they actually started out saying i owed them! By the end of a very long day of negotiating they were begging me to give them a payment schedule for them to pay me instead of immediatly.The satisfaction was better than the money.I have used John since,have referred others to him and i also have him review all my contracts before i sign them,it is well worth it.In closing i would say i agree with the nickname for John that my friend who first referred me to John."The Bulldog".I would with no qualms whatsoever refer Thresher & Thresher P.A. for any of your Construction contract needs.
