Jeffrey Scott Koster

Jeffrey S. Koster joined Older Lundy Alvarez & Koch in 2016. Prior to that, Jeffrey worked for nine years as a solo practitioner in the areas of Marital and Family Law and Personal Injury. During his time as a solo practitioner he gained notoriety in the community for his honest, compassionate, family-focused style of practice and for providing an extremely high-level of personal service to his clients. As the years passed, however, Jeffrey began to miss the camaraderie and synergy that comes with a larger firm. In an effort to continue providing an exceptional level of service while also growing his practice he decided that joining Older Lundy Alvarez & Koch made sense. Clients can expect an even greater level of service as Jeffrey combines his style with the cutting edge technology and exceptional team members offered by Older Lundy Alvarez & Koch.

After graduating from law school in 1997, Jeffrey worked for Parrillo, Weiss & O’Hallaran in Chicago, Illinois, where he honed his courtroom skills in civil litigation matters. He then returned home to Tampa and worked for Butler Burnette Pappas, P.A. and Zurich American Insurance, where he defended corporations, insurance companies, and insured individuals. After deciding he wanted to work for people instead of insurance companies Jeffrey joined Prugh & Associates where he worked under Timothy F. Prugh, one of Tampa’s most respected trial attorneys.

Jeffrey is a member of the Family Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Family Law and Trial Lawyers sections of the Florida Bar and the Jesuit Bar Association.

Jeffrey earned an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of South Florida. He received his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Koster served as an associate editor for the University of Dayton Law Review.

Jeffrey resides in Lutz, Florida, with his wife and three children. He also maintains a satellite office at 18960 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Lutz, FL 33548, where he will continue to see clients as many enjoy the convenience of having a lawyer close to home.
