Ms. Weed represented my fiancé through years of gut wrenching drama with his son’s mother. I have had experience with attorneys through my own divorce and I have never experienced someone so on top of her game as Ms. Weed. She spends tireless hours combing through the case details in preparation for ...trial. She doesn’t miss a thing and acts expediently in the interest of her client. Beyond that she genuinely cared for my fiancé and his son. Making sure she did all she could do for the best outcome for Carter. She stays in touch even though the case has ended checking in on everyone. I appreciate everything she did for Paul. If it wasn’t for her what was an already stressful situation would have been unbearable for him to deal with.

I’ve used attorneys for 17 years unfortunately during my legal saga with my sons mother. 6 lawyers in total. None were prepared in court. Couldn’t articulate my story and/or remember our course of action and my case simply wasn’t important enough to them at all even though it was the MOST important t...hing in my life. Marty and Jason not only were always more on point than apposing counsels and helped guide me through a mess. Marty is well worth every penny and I’ve read some of her negative reviews and they are mostly money based basically. I’m sorry but Michael Jordan got paid more than a bench player. If you actually want someone who has a plan , does the extra work and will never be beaten due to a lack of effort , she is the real deal. I respect her greatly and her brain is what you will pay for abd it’s worth it.

I cannot imagine how Ms. Weed sleeps at night? Very dissatisfied with her on every level! Ms. Weed filed unnecessary motion after motion charging lots of money in the process until I wised up and confronted her. She stepped off my case and is still currently charging me monthly even though she no lon...ger is representing me since last July. I was granted indigent status as well and she still is coming after more money I do not have. Unbelievable!!! Please do not retain this Attorney!!!

Weed was hired based on a recommendation. Mistake. Emotionally provoking motions, inciting ex, over-charged, missed responses, didn't bill for 4 months. $20k spent for ruining my case, then withdrew when confronted. Cannot divide labor categories, so charges $400/hr for clerk/typist and paralegal wor...k. Avoid.

My negative experience is similar to others expressed in this forum. Ms. Weed decided to let opposing counsel draft the MSA and for more than five months Ms. Weed willfully refused to respond to the request of both myself and opposing counsel to return the amended MSA so it could be finalized. Oppos...ing Counsel waited from January 19, 2011 until June 7, 2011, exactly “the first half of 2011” for a response to his proposed MSA, but none was forthcoming from Martha-Irene Weed. To this day she has not returned the MSA. I proceeded on my own, caught costly errors she made in her first draft. Now she is stating she wants the fruit of litigation. Under no circumstances should she be retained or referred, especially where a military pension is involved.
