Biography
Jeffrey C. Hakanson graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1991, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He attended the South Texas College of Law where he received his Juris Doctor in 1995.
Mr. Hakanson began his practice of law in a local Tampa real estate firm. During his work in the real estate law firm, Mr. Hakanson developed an expertise in representing secured lenders in mortgage foreclosure actions, lender liability actions and bankruptcy cases. Mr. Hakanson then joined the law firm of Gibbons, Smith, Cohn & Arnett during which time he focused his practice primarily on real estate litigation and the representation of creditors in the bankruptcy court. Mr. Hakanson brought his years of experience working in the foreclosure and bankruptcy courts to McIntyre Thanasides Bringgold Elliott Grimaldi & Guito, P.A. in 2011. His current practice focuses on defending and protecting clients who are entering or trying to avoid foreclosure. Mr. Hakanson is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida.

Buyer Beware!
Absolutely joke and a shame of an attorney. Hired for a simple eviction. Took more than two months. He lied during the process about the service of process. He only filed the lawsuit for possession, despite the reason for eviction being for non payment. Had to hire another attorney to finish the job....
