Bryant Ashley Scriven

As unoriginal as it is to give a five star in every category, I feel it is justly earned. Bryant Scriven represented me in a legal matter involving an unjustified DUI. Mr. Scriven exemplified professionalism, empathy and more importantly a vast understanding of the legal process. From my initial phon...e calls, Mr. Scriven responded in a prompt and courteous manner. His representation in hearings and his empathetic nature resulted in a speedy and positive outcome. I was soooo scared I was arrested the first time ever in my lie for possession, I was in college maybe about to loose my scholarship, strict parents who were very disappointed, and my job that was going to fire me with this on my background. I received a DUI in 2/2006 and a mutual friend recommended Bryant Scrivens to me. After discussing the incident, he advised me that some time ago he had worked, I think for the prosecuting attorneys office and he would talk to someone to find out what information can be obtained to help my case. Movi...ng on, it took numerous phone calls and messages to finally get him to order and review my sobriety test on tape. Just prior to the pretrial, I was asked if I were going to plead guilty or not (some thing we had discussed prior to the pretrial). I responded what was the outcome of the conversation with the prosecuting attorney, his response, he was going to talk to them now. It was obvious that he didn’t talk to anyone prior to that day because he then advised me that they were going ahead with the prosecution. Then when the prosecuting attorney was reading the report, there were a few things mentioned that weren’t accurate and when I questioned Mr. Scrivens, he asked me what I wanted to do, I responded I didn’t know he needed to tell me because he was my attorney. I pleaded guilty because I felt I had no other choice. At the end of the pretrial, he shook my hand and said sorry there was nothing he could do and walked away. I stood there dumb founded. Afterwards my friend, who recommended him, told me that he (Bryant Scrivens) never even showed up to his pretrial hearing.
