Alicia Regina Seward

I wish I could give ZERO stars. I paid for a consultation fee and was told by Ms. Seward to call back in 45 days to go forward with collecting my judgment, which I did. I called AND emailed for two weeks with NO RESPONSE then finally received an email where she told me because this is her firm, she c...an do what she sees fit, and would not refund me my consultation fee. Horrible customer service, and absolutely no professionalism.

I hired Alicia Seward on October 16 to represent my HOA in a pending lawsuit. She complained about phone calls and emails to her office asking her for case status updates, although I was not getting any information or updates from her. I gave her instruction and she ignores it, then she quit giving... me no notice after I had a question on her Invoice. She lacks experience and professionalism and I would most definitely not recommend her to anyone.

We hired Alicia for our case, and Alicia showed up to our mediation completely unprepared. She never filed an amendment like she said she was going to and never communicated with us on the status of our court date causing us to miss it. Then instead of fixing it, she withdrew from the case. We lost a... lot of time and money hiring Alicia. I do not recommend her.

Alicia was quick to meet me for 30 minutes free consultation and gave me several good pointers so I decided to hire her. She appeared to the court hearing and won the case for us ( it was an no-brainer win anyway). When Judge asked her whether he should write the final judgment or she will. She eager...ly answered she will. But she didn't submit it until 2 weeks later. All my calls to her assistant went to deaf ear. Never received any answer. We had to take the case in our own hands. So we went to the sheriff's office requesting eviction enforcement. They asked for writ of possession, which we didn't have. We started calling around the court clerk. Nobody can give a straight answer where it is. One clerk says it's in Plant City court where we had the hearing, another said it was in Brandon court where we initially filed. The lawyer finally called ( because sheriff office called her asking why it was us, not her calling sheriff's office). She claimed that she had the originally stamped writ of possession and just mailed out to our home that morning (we still haven't received it after 3 weeks. Obviously she was lying. She never mailed anything to our home). After numerous calls and extreme frustration, sheriff's office finally told us that they got it and will proceed. From the hearing on May 3 until now, we only received one call from her which was a lie and couple of emails with electronic version of writ of possession which was useless. We still haven't received the monetary judgment against our deadbeat tenants. We will have to search in the dark to find that out. Hope it's there somewhere. If it doesn't exist, what should we do. I feel this is an extremely negligent, dishonest and irresponsible attorney. We plan to file complaint in Florida Bar Association. and put her attorney fee in our credit card dispute because not only we didn't receive the service, we were damaged by her terrible service.
