$1,000 mistake

I hired Ms. Shaughnessy to assist me with the short sale of my home. She was very informative and helpful during the intitial consultation, & I looked forward to working with her. All she needed to get started was my $1,000 retainer. Too make a long story short, I gave her my hard earned $1,000 only ...to never speak with her again. I called, left messages for her, never a call back. I was only able to relay messages to her through the secretary. Out of frusturation, I requested my money back & was told that my case would be reviewed to see what $ remains. Unless my 20 minute consultation was $1,000, I thought for sure I would get most if not all of my money back. After a couple months and many follow up calls, I finally got a letter in the mail telling me that I would not be getting any of my money back. I had my realtor follow up to at least try and get something for my money, but I'm not sure what was actually done, if anything. I learned my lesson, but hopefully someone will read this & be fortunate enough to spend their money elsewhere.

A Lawyer that Truly Cares

Ms. Shaughnessy handled my family law matter with complete professionalism. If you are going through a divorce or other family law matter, I would suggest that you contact Mara.

Loan Modification

I contacted Mara to help me with a loan modification. After being rejected several times by my bank I was frustrated and did not know what to do. The entire staff worked to get my loan modification approved and now my family can stay in our home. I cannot thank them enough.

Poor service

Promised me a copy of a three day letter, never delivered on that promise. Did not answer emails in regard to renter payment issues. After 6 weeks still has not refunded promised monies.

Great Experience

I would highly recommend Mara. I contacted her regarding a foreclosure matter. It was important for me to be able to save my home. Ms. Shaughnessy was able to work with my bank to lower my payments and keep my family in my home.
