I hired Mara Shaughnessy for my foreclosure modification case and was extremely satisfied with her and her staff's handling of my case. She had to file motions of Continuance over and over again while waiting on the bank to process my modification since each new court date( for summary judgment ) w...ould come up without the bank returning an answer on the modification. It was VERY stressful waiting but Ms Shaughnessy really gave me a lot of confidence because of the way she was handling the case and the knowledge she had of the ins and outs. She took the worry away. And the key was that her and her staff were very prompt proactive and responsive. If I ever had a question I never had to follow up to get an answer. Some questions I didn't have to ask because they would send me an email before I got around to contacting the firm weeks out from an upcoming court date. She was frequently in contact with the banks attorneys which made things sooo much easier. I was kept in the loop as was copied in all pertinent emails wether involving the court or the banks attorneys. Great professionalism and great customer service that you just don't get these days. I would confidently recommend and refer this law office to ANYONE needing the types of service they provide. Oh and by the way, I initially shopped around and their rates were far from adding insult to injury like a few of the other consultations elsewhere did. I truly wish them all the best!!

Mara's experience was illustrated on levels of very high caliber at my case hearing which was a case of great complexity but even so was no match for her skill-set. Mara and her team was of very tactful professionalism and high punctuality both in responsiveness and in the handling of document prepa...ration and filing with the court and they made themselves available and accessible for consultation, advise and clarifications whenever it's needed. On case preparation everything needed to achieve a successful outcome was well put together and in an organized fashion and most importantly the presentation was well executed in court, reflected in the result of success on my behalf. Mara's composure as an attorney was that of comfort and confidence and throughout her handling of my case in family Court it was clear that she truly cares about her clients as her work was clearly within my family's best interest. She is an excellent attorney!!!

Upon a phone consolation I hired Ms. Shaughnessy to handle the sale of our home as we live out of state. She was initially responsive. When the retainer was paid, she became very difficult to get a hold of, and took literally 2-3 days to respond to emails. Real Estate contracts had typos and mispr...ints that I was told to line through. I expected more for the fee we paid. When the sale of our home fell through do to the buyer not getting approved for adequate funds, we almost lost the escrow do to attorney oversight on the additional clauses on a contract written by her firm. I was also never given any refund or compensation since the transaction never went through, nor was I given an itemized list of billable hours which I requested in mid-march. Attorney took days to respond both to our buyer, their broker, and us. Would not use. Her staff is also very curt and unhelpful.
