A few words to describe Jacqueline Jorgensen would be knowledgeable, a consummate professional, articulate, tenacious, honest, punctual, engaging, brilliant, very detailed, understanding, trustworthy, compassionate, and has a heart of gold. Jackie was referred to me by a friend of my brothers who... had recently gone through a divorce. Being that he was someone who had recently gone through what I was about to go through, I trusted his recommendation as he was very happy with his results. I met with her and immediately knew she would be the attorney I would hire. I felt I could trust her and she did not let me down. She listened to me and made me feel calm at a very difficult time in my life. She provided clear direction for actions, as well as providing cost effective counsel. ….At times a lawyer has to be detached to see through the emotion of an issue to find a common sense resolution….. At times a lawyer has to share the emotion with you, to be personally invested in how important something is to you so you can feel that she is fighting as hard as you would fight…. JACKIE HAS THAT BALANCE. She was professional while helping clear up emotional responses to things that needed a fact based response. Jackie was fair when it was called for and aggressive when the situation demanded it. She negotiated an agreement with terms that would protect my and most importantly, my children’s interests going forward. Thanks to Jackie, my children have a college fund, life insurance protection and everything a mother would want for their children. Our paths crossed when a friend recommended her to me and I have since “paid it forward” and recommended her to several of my friends who unfortunately have had to go through divorces of their own. I will be forever grateful to her for going above and beyond for me and my boys. I could never show her enough appreciation for the continued guidance and results received throughout my case. I have previously used Jacqueline for consultations and she has always provided sound legal advice. I hired Jacqueline to represent me at trial and she was exceptional. She was articulate, professional and extremely knowledgeable. My case wasn't easy, but she was able to present the evidence in a man...ner that was favorable to the Mother. If you're a father trying to get custody of your children in a divorce, this is a warning. My (self proclaimed, high-conflict Borderline, Narcissist) ex is dating a registered sex offender, driving drunk and high with our child in the car, taking 3 Rx drugs (all admitted in court!) and Ms Jorgensen t...hought I should "settle" for child support and meager visitation...rather that try to get custody. I honestly thought she was joking! It was as if she was working for the other side, she even filed a MOTION TO TAKE MY DEPOSITION for the other side (YES!). SHE NEVER DID ANY DISCOVERY, REFUSED TO TAKE DEPOSITIONS and notice ME of hearings, I had to write all pleadings in which she changed a line or two then charged for hours and hours of work. Even tried to file another man's financial affidavit in my case, who by the way made a hell of a lot more money than I do! WHO Knows how many years it would take to straighten THAT ONE out?! Attorneys like her make the whole family court legal system, the lawyers, the judges in Hillsborough County FL appear to be "in cahoots" and geared toward keeping EZ money and federal block grant funds coming in by making hard working fathers into cash cows. Fact is they could care less about the welfare your child... there's too much money to be had in conflict. As a final farewell, just to add some more insult to injury, on her way out she had the audacity to text me a "hey it's your kid not mine" email. My post here is 100% verifiable, so we'll see if AVVO ratings are real or just a another fraud.
