Mrs Jorgensen represent me in a Child Support and Parental responsibility case. It was a hard one as it was inter-state from Ohio, dad living in NYC. She was very knowledgeable in the matter and after following all her advice and guidance it went to trial and we was able to win the case getting grant...ed by the judge all that was requested and fair to my sons benefit. I am very happy with her representation, with her caring and kindness. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. Jackie was referred to me by a friend of my brothers who... had recently gone through a divorce. Being that he was someone who had recently gone through what I was about to go through, I trusted his recommendation as he was very happy with his results. I met with her and immediately knew she would be the attorney I would hire. I felt I could trust her and she did not let me down. She listened to me and made me feel calm at a very difficult time in my life. She provided clear direction for actions, as well as providing cost effective counsel. ….At times a lawyer has to be detached to see through the emotion of an issue to find a common sense resolution….. At times a lawyer has to share the emotion with you, to be personally invested in how important something is to you so you can feel that she is fighting as hard as you would fight…. If you're a father trying to get custody of your children in a divorce, this is a warning. My (self proclaimed, high-conflict Borderline, Narcissist) ex is dating a registered sex offender, driving drunk and high with our child in the car, taking 3 Rx drugs (all admitted in court!) and Ms Jorgensen t...hought I should "settle" for child support and meager visitation...rather that try to get custody. I honestly thought she was joking! It was as if she was working for the other side, she even filed a MOTION TO TAKE MY DEPOSITION for the other side (YES!). SHE NEVER DID ANY DISCOVERY, REFUSED TO TAKE DEPOSITIONS and notice ME of hearings, I had to write all pleadings in which she changed a line or two then charged for hours and hours of work. Even tried to file another man's financial affidavit in my case, who by the way made a hell of a lot more money than I do! WHO Knows how many years it would take to straighten THAT ONE out?! Attorneys like her make the whole family court legal system, the lawyers, the judges in Hillsborough County FL appear to be "in cahoots" and geared toward keeping EZ money and federal block grant funds coming in by making hard working fathers into cash cows. Fact is they could care less about the welfare your child... there's too much money to be had in conflict. As a final farewell, just to add some more insult to injury, on her way out she had the audacity to text me a "hey it's your kid not mine" email. My post here is 100% verifiable, so we'll see if AVVO ratings are real or just a another fraud.
