Having Mrs. Jorgensen represent me as my divorce lawyer was a situation where I felt comfortable, at ease and most importantly confident in her legal advice during a very stressful & emotional time in my life. I truly appreciate all the talks, texts, emails etc where she helped assure me and calm m...e down during some trying times. I would recommend Mrs. Jorgensen in a heart beat to anyone seeking a veteran, straight forward speaking and caring lawyer/person who tells it like it is! If you're a father trying to get custody of your children in a divorce, this is a warning. My (self proclaimed, high-conflict Borderline, Narcissist) ex is dating a registered sex offender, driving drunk and high with our child in the car, taking 3 Rx drugs (all admitted in court!) and Ms Jorgensen t...hought I should "settle" for child support and meager visitation...rather that try to get custody. I honestly thought she was joking! It was as if she was working for the other side, she even filed a MOTION TO TAKE MY DEPOSITION for the other side (YES!). SHE NEVER DID ANY DISCOVERY, REFUSED TO TAKE DEPOSITIONS and notice ME of hearings, I had to write all pleadings in which she changed a line or two then charged for hours and hours of work. Even tried to file another man's financial affidavit in my case, who by the way made a hell of a lot more money than I do! WHO Knows how many years it would take to straighten THAT ONE out?! Attorneys like her make the whole family court legal system, the lawyers, the judges in Hillsborough County FL appear to be "in cahoots" and geared toward keeping EZ money and federal block grant funds coming in by making hard working fathers into cash cows. Fact is they could care less about the welfare your child... there's too much money to be had in conflict. As a final farewell, just to add some more insult to injury, on her way out she had the audacity to text me a "hey it's your kid not mine" email. My post here is 100% verifiable, so we'll see if AVVO ratings are real or just a another fraud. My rant above is just the tip of the iceberg, this so-called "attorney" totally botched my case and left me in the lurch (Did I mention I was flat out robbed of my 5K retainer). My next move is bar complaint, then a malpractice suit....I will get my $$$ back Jackie Lebron Jorgensen if it takes me till the end of time!
