Steven Jay Gutter

I  graduated from University of Miami Law School, and from inception, my practice has focused on commercial litigation with an emphasis on Creditors’ Rights & Remedies. I am a member of both the Commercial Law League of America and the International Association of Commercial Collections.

Since 1990, I have been pursuing Judgment enforcement through Proceedings Supplementary using fraudulent transfer law, among other bases, to impute corporate debt to the corporate officers, directors, shareholders, members, and business successors.  I have lectured on the subject in various forums, including seminars for Lorman, the IACC, the CLLA, Certified Public Accountants as well as informal attorney gatherings.  I began my legal career as an associate in the commercial litigation department of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, P.A., but I have had my own firm since 1979.

I became a certified Circuit Civil mediator in 1991, and have since been certified as a Federal Court mediator, Florida Housing Department mediator, National Association of Securities Dealers mediator as well as a certified arbitrator.
