Vette received her Juris Doctor (summa cum laude) from Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University, where she was ranked in the top three percent of her class. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Having served as president, vice president and treasurer of the Southwest Colorado Bar Association, Vette organized the First Annual Legal Research Fair in Southwest Colorado and was a board member of Southwest Colorado Volunteer Legal Aid. Vette is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Florida. Vette has represented numerous clients in dissolutions of marriage, custody disputes, domestic violence hearings and adoption cases. Experienced in division of complex assets and appeals before the Colorado Court of Appeals, she is proficient in cross examination, has handled numerous contested hearings, and authored several articles on marital and family law that were published in the Durango Herald newspaper. Vette is also trained in collaborative law and is a certified mediator.
