Esta abogada renunció una semana antes del juicio dejándome sin representación y sin defensa, ante un caso de familia ,sólo demostró incompetencia y falta de profesionalismo.despues de estar por más de un año recibiendo mis pagos según las tarifas que ella establecio, yo acordé con ella un precio t...otal por mi caso y días antes de el juicio me informa que yo tenía que pagarle extra $ 2000.00 mas sólo por asistir a juicio , ella alegó que eso estaba en el contrato pero como yo no hablo inglés , ella me salto esa parte cuando me leyó el contrato, acusándome a mi de que yo trate de contratar a el abogado de la otra parte para que me representará, lo cual es absurdo e irracional demostrandome una vez más la incompetencia de esta señora.Por su incapacidad no asistimos a dos juicios donde debía decidirse el child support,alegando ella que no tenía conocimiento de eso. Afectandome económicamente, Tampoco tenía la documentación completa y necesaria que yo le había entregado durante un año

When I hired Maria she said she would be filing specific motions and work on the discovery to get ready for the trial and did nothing until I emailed her 4 months later when we had a calendar call. She filed the motion the same day I emailed her and had not filed any of the motions she said she would... when I hired her nor had she filed any discovery, interrogatories, depos etc to go to trial like she said she would. Then when I emailed her about not doing any of it she said I needed proof and pretended to not know what I was talking about amd even stated she never said something that she did say to me and my father to try to cover up her malpractice. Then when we finally went to court she asked the judge for a one month continuance to set a date for my trial without requesting any discovery from the other side. I had to continuously be on top of her because I did not want to get in trouble by the judge for missing the deadlines like providing the other party discover but Maria stated I didnt have to worry about that because we werent going to trial because there was still discovery that needed to be done and now shes trying to withdrawl from my case and tells me last minute I need to turn the discovery in after the date has passed and the other attorney filed a motion to compel. She has left me completely hanging and has not even iled for a request to extend the deadline which I missed because of her or a reaponse to the motion to compel. She has no regard for deadlines in the civil family procedures. After she had my trial set for the next month she send me an email saying she was hired by a firm amd would no longer be working on her cases. She basically lied to my us from the beginning in order for us to pay her for the little that we had left in hopes of her helping us keep my children safe from their father. She has no care in the world for a childs best interest and she showed it by taking our little bit of money and running with it and by knowing the seriousness of why we hired her and her assurance that she would help us protect our kids with that money that we paid her to work for. In the email she sent stating she was witdrawing she basically said she would be filing two motions which she only filed one. When i asked her for the invoice multiple times of everything she has done in the case she stated she would give it to me 3 separate times and still has not send it. She says she has worked the money plus more yet she filed a motion to withdrawl from my case yesterday stating 4-1.16(b) but still has not responded regarding the seco d motion she said she would fix before she withdrawls. She would ignore my texts and emails and when she finally responded she would say she was sick for 2 weeks and thats why she hadnt filed anything yet I had hired her 3 months prior. She constantly made excuses and apologized for not responding. Do not trust this lawyer. She is anything put professional and civil. During a hearing they called us in and she kept the judge waiting while she was checking in another courtroom. When we came out there was another one of her clients looking for her in despair to let her know the judge was calling them in to. She said she would call me that evening and never did.
