DO NOT hire this woman. She is a liar, irresponsible, huge liar and inconsistent. I hired her for my case. She lied and said she set court date, I waited weeks until I got fed up and called the courts. They said she never called, and she did this to me twice on the same case. When I did court daters,... she told me the judge said no didn’t have to show up. Then she calls me at court saying the judge wants to see me. She needed up removing herself from my case the day before my hearing. She told me the judge was going to side with me so I didn’t need her there. When I went to court, the judge was clueless. Do not hire this woman! I can’t say what I know she did, as Avvo won’t post my review.

Mariajose Sanchez represented me in a case involving myself and an ex girlfriend. Mariajose Sanchez Was nothing but professional, respectful and courteous. She took the time to explain the case and what need to be said and covered in order to prove my innocence. I highly recommend Ms. Sanchez ...to anyone looking for a true lawyer with passion and understanding of the law and coming out on top.

Through a recommendation of a friend, I used this lawyer for a dispute with another party. My request was for a certified letter and confirmation sent on my behalf and later representation in court. Prior to this she seem to drop off with excuses on returning calls and emails. Appears she prefers ...SMS only. Extremely slow in the beginning to get her to even draft up the letter with reasons being sickness and some other reasons which spanned over 2-3 weeks and another 3+ weeks wait after sent of letter. I was not too concerned at that point but my frustration lies on my request to get a copy of the certified letter and copy of confirmation from USPS. Emails go unanswered, calls are not answered or returned. I will say text messages are generally replied on the same day BUT it is some excuse or another. It has been 3+ weeks and the excuses are the following: * My assistant sent it already. Check your email * My assistant sent to wrong email address what is your email? * Yes I will send it today.. busy at the moment x4 I have left messages for this woman and even gone as far as get my friend involved (since they are friends).. she states she will address it later (busy).. Guess what nothing. Prior to this I sent 2 emails over a month requesting updates which went unanswered. For even more irony, I called the office# today (my first) and spoke to her assistant. She is nice but have no clue what I am talking about and was never instructed by Mariajose Sanchez to email any documents. So in essence she is just a huge waste of time for whatever reason on a very simple task. I should of seen the writing on the wall when the prefix of getting a letter ready and communication from her was essentially unreliable and slow. While she is generally nice, I find this transaction confusing and frustrating. I understand she is busy but what is with the excuses and why won't she just get her assistant to help? Also why would this simple task be dropped to the bottom of her priority? A small part of me wonder's if she even did the work. Please note from my first contact to today (waiting) it has been a little over 4 months. Emails and calls go unanswered 3 months ago and been exclusively via SMS only. Showing my name cause I hope there are not other's in the same boat.
