Brett Elam Under Suspension By The Florida Bar

The reviews are correct and also see his horrible reviews on other websites. My experience with Mr. Elam was the same, no returns calls, no shows for appointments, doesn't follow through or follow up on court filings, every excuse in the book as to why he's not doing his job, completely screwed up my... case, etc. Hopefully his license will NEVER be reinstated. However; he's left behind a trail of victim's who have no recourse.

The worst lawyer ever. He failed to advise me properly on my personal responsibility resulting from a business. He doesnt even respond to court requests. He simply ignores them so they result in summary judgement against you, then he can represent you in bankruptcy too ! He never returns phone ca...lls and has even been a no show on scheduled appointments. He prays on people who are in trouble. He is a low life.

GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH REAL REPRESENTATION!

I found Brett Elam to be very knowledgeable in bankruptcy and lien law and competent and aggressive when he represented me in an adversary proceeding in a Chapter 7 case beginning with defense in an emergency hearing with very little notice. Throughout all the hearings where he has represented me, he... always returned my emails (which seems to be the best way to communicate with him) usually within a few hours or at the very least the next morning. Anytime where I might not have been informed of something, I found it was because he had already taken care of it, which alleviated a lot of stress for me. The one thing that really stands out about Brett (I've dealt with a few attorneys) is that he refers to any order or judicial requirement in the "WE" and "US" form during communication. IE... "The Judge ordered US to ...WE need to do this" etc....this made me feel like I really had "real" representation and that he was truly concerned about the outcome as though he himself was a party in the action. I have never had this experience with any other attorney and it gave me confidence in his abilities. I can not comment as to what happened in the other reviews I've just read here, but I must say that it baffles me as I had literally the complete opposite experience. Maybe there were some personality clashes or control issues ( I don't think he cares for rude or unappreciative clients) but it is wise to remember that attorneys are just like anyone else; they want to be respected, thanked and appreciated for what they are doing for you. The law profession is such a tricky field and a lot more goes on then most probably actually understand....I believe if you instill the confidence in your chosen representative and let go of the wheel, the experience should be far better for it; at least it was for me. I am very grateful for Brett and really just can't thank him enough.

Brett A, Elam Lawyer Very Disappointing / 105 South Narcissus Suite 802 West Palm Beach

Mr. Elam sounded very believable and knowledgeable , helpful at first But didn't deliver as promised , very let down my case ended up a mess due to poor handling. Non responsive to questions asked by client concerning progress or updating the facts of my case Very slow to respond, to is...sues pointed out , and seemed evasive of the facts . i presented on paper , I would have to say in my experience in my case he lost the hands on touch , The office staff was at times out of touch with my case info , My info that I supplied to his office staff was lost repeatedly at the start , My case was dismissed, with prejudice due to a great lack of client attorney communication . Now I have to pay again to hire another attorney to try to get back on track. VERY , Very disappointed but still hopeful. Single Dad who trusted a professional , who was paid back with empty promises, and finger pointing . If my case was made right i would gladly give praise where praise was due we are all only HUMAN
