Max Johann Holzbaur

Max J. Holzbaur is an associate of the Fogel Law Group and concentrates his practice on commercial real estate transactions, business acquisitions, and commercial lending. 

Originally from Coral Springs, Max grew up in Fort Lauderdale and Sarasota. He earned both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees, cum laude honors, from Stetson University. Majoring in finance, international business, and political science, Max studied in Washington, D.C., China, and Austria. A full-merit scholarship recipient in both undergraduate and law school, he received his Juris Doctor, cum laude honors, in 2013 from Stetson University College of Law. In law school, he was recognized as Best Oralist in the Carlton Fields First-Year Appellate Advocacy Competition, and, as a member of the Moot Court Board, was a finalist in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition in Vienna. Upon graduation, he was presented with the National Order of Scribes Award for excellence in legal writing and professionalism, and earned a book award for his thesis on the enforceability of international arbitration awards in China.

Applying his international education, Max interned at the Buenos Aires Prosecutor’s Office in Argentina while in law school. He also clerked at the Chambers of Arthur Marriott QC in London, where he assisted in representing foreign governments in international trade disputes. Max is multilingual, speaking both Spanish and, even more proficiently, German. He holds dual citizenship with Austria.

In May of 2015, after practicing for over a year in Miami, Max moved to Boca Raton and joined the Fogel Law Group.
