Having been married to a sociopath it was hard to get the courage to get out. I worked in law firms for years, and know what a good lawyer can do for his clients. I'm so fortunate that I was directed to Mr. Root. It was reassuring knowing that he was tough and able to guide me through a very difficult process. His fees are on the high side of average, but well worth it. This man knows the law and was even able to quote it to the judge when asked. He did his best to keep his fees down, and believe me, knowing the law and not having to research everything saves you a bundle. Lawyers charge for research! I highly recommend Mr. Root and his very professional staff. It took almost a year, but I'm alive and came away with the best possible resolution for me.

I came to Jonathan with a terrible child custody case that 6 lawyers before him could not straighten out for me. In fact, their mistakes further worsened my case. He was my last hope in fighting a highly litigated child custody case in helping to keep my son. He is direct and is not passive/aggressive. He does what is needed to win your case by giving you the best advise and using his cleverness, experience and commanding presence in court. Turned my case around. I don't get what the bad reviews down below are all about. Those people must not have experienced the many terrible lawyers out there. Go with Jonathan and you will see what I mean.

Not professional at all, giving priority to the most profitability cases.
He wasn't there when I most needed him, after a reversal of my case caused by a mistake he made.
I will definitely not recommend his services, if you do, good luck. He couldn't handle a simple divorce. He costed me more than the money that I was fighting to get. Which I never got anyway. Big mistake.
