Attorney Robert Norvell graduated from Boston University Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts, and again with honors from the University of Florida, College of Law. During his time at the University of Florida Mr. Norvell received Book Awards (finished number one in the class) in Property Law, Tort Law, and Estates and Trusts.

After graduating from law school, Attorney Norvell worked as an Assistant State Attorney in Alachua County, Florida. He then became an Assistant Public Defender in Palm Beach County, Florida. At the Palm Beach County Public Defender’s Office Mr. Norvell was promoted to Division Chief where he was charged with the supervision of attorneys as well as being responsible for an active trial caseload.

Attorney Norvell also acted as a liaison between judges and the Public Defender’s Office. Because of this experience, he has personally practiced before every criminal judge in both Circuit and County Court. In 2001, Mr. Norvell was hired away by a private firm to grow and shape a successful criminal branch. In 2004 the DUI / DWI defense firm of Norvell & Associates was opened to provide the very best DUI legal criminal defense in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Robert Norvell has been an active, well known, and respected member of the Palm Beach Criminal Defense Bar for many years. In 2006, he was appointed to the Florida Bar Traffic Rules Committee, which is a decision making committee that makes recommendations to the Legislature regarding traffic laws in West Palm Beach and throughout Florida. He is the only criminal defense attorney in Palm Beach County to sit on this Committee.

The DUI / DWI and criminal defense firm of Norvell and Associates is very dedicated to Palm Beach County and the surrounding communities. The firm has made many contributions to the Palm Beach Zoo, Ballet Florida, Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, Norton Museum of Art, and Red Cross Cancer Research Walk For the Cure. Â
In 2013, the Palm Beach County School Board recognized Mr. Norvell's firm as the Business Partner of the Year for the contribution made to South Olive Elementary School. Mr. Norvell is also the President of the South End Neighborhood Association which is the largest association in West Palm Beach.  Then in July of 2013, Jeri Muoio, the Mayor of West Palm Beach, appointed him to serve on the Parks and Cemeteries Foundation.Â
Today, Mr. Norvell is an Adjunct Professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University and teaches Public Speaking.
